Kate joined Henn Lesperance PLC in August of 2022. After earning her BS in Accountancy with an English minor from Calvin College, Kate went to work in public accounting at Adamy + Company now known as Baker Holtz. Kate specialized in working with small and medium sized businesses on both their accounting and tax needs.

From there she spent 10 years working at the law firm of Smith Haughey Rice & Roegge. Smith Haughey Rice & Roegge is a full service law firm with multiple offices in the state of Michigan. Kate was responsible for the financial operations of the law firm as well as serving on numerous committees: strategic planning, success planning, associate development, Women's Business Initiative and Diversity and Inclusion. During her time there, Kate obtained her MBA with a Management focus from Ferris State University. She served as the firm's Chief Financial Officer.

Kate joined OST, a computer hardware reseller and IT services provider, in January 2017 where she served as the Director of Financial Operations. As a member of the executive leadership team, Kate was responsible for the financial needs of the organization including inside sales support and human resources.

Most recently she served as the Chief Financial Officer of Fleis & VandenBrink’s 7 corporate entities.

In her free time, Kate enjoys spending time with her husband, cooking, gardening, reading and pretending she can be crafty.
